The fifth Doctoral Seminar on Communication Sciences and Cultural Studies of the academic year 2021-2022 will take place on March 18, at 2.30 p.m., in the Sala de Atos of the Institute of Social Sciences. The guest speaker is Emília Araújo, Professor of the Department of Sociology at the University of Minho; “Research Ethics” is the topic.
Associate Professor with aggregation in the Department of Sociology of the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho, Emília Araújo obtained her PhD in Sociology in 2005. Between 2013 and 2019, she served as Vice-President of that institution, having also previously directed the Master’s Degree in Sociology.,
She teaches in the field of methodologies, culture and technoscience and has developed research on the sociology of time, mobilities and science. She was the Principal Investigator of the project “Mobiscience- trajectories of Portuguese researchers and knowledge circulation.
She is a member of the Portuguese Sociology Association and IAMCR and a dynamic member of the Associação Portuguesa de Estudos do Tempo e Sociedade (Portuguese Association for Time and Society Research).
