This session’s guest is Marize Figueira, a PhD candidate in Cultural Studies at the University of Minho, where she is carrying out her doctoral research into how university extension can contribute to the articulation and democratisation of training processes for cultural agents and managers in Brazil.
Marize Figueira holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Assets and Social Projects from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation and specialises in Cultural Management and Policies from the UNESCO Chair in Cultural Policies and Cooperation at the University of Girona. She has a degree in Cultural Production from the Fluminense Federal University. A Cultural Producer at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro since 2012, she is the creator of the UFRJ Cultural Production Support Centre (NAPROCULT/UFRJ), also acting as coordinator and consultant from 2018 to 2023. She has a special interest in the management and intersectoral policies of culture and education, with experience in university extension projects.
