On 16 October, at 2:30 p.m., MILObs is organising the webinar ” ‘School is no place for mobile phones’ Is that so?”. The online session, which is free to attend but requires registration here, will discuss the place of mobile phones in schools: in Portugal, but also internationally, at a time when prohibition has been the most widely reported approach.
With an opening speech by Sara Pereira, who will discuss the national and international situation, and moderated by Manuel Pinto, both coordinators of MILObs and researchers at CECS/UMinho, the seminar will feature four guests:
. Maria João Horta, researcher in the field of digital technologies and citizenship.
. Raquel Ramos, Director of the Vila Nova de Cerveira School Group.
. Sofia Vieira Araújo, student at Ponte de Lima Secondary School.
. CONFAP representative to be appointed.
MILObs seminars are a regular, free-access initiative held with the aim of discussing topics that mark the field of education and media literacy.
