The schedule for the Doctoral Seminars on Communication Sciences and Cultural Studies is now available. Between March and May 2020, several topics will be covered.
The first session will take place on March 6, at 10 am, in the ICS Acts Room, with the participation of Isabel Macedo and Mariana Lameiras. “Critical reflection on the doctorate of two recent PhDs” is the theme of this first seminar. On the same day, at 2:30 pm, at the MMII Laboratory, the workshop on EndNote, with Alberto Sá, follows.
In a joint initiative of CECS and the Department of Communication Sciences, the cycle of seminars continues on March 20 with a workshop on SPSS software, with Sandra Marinho.
On March 27, the seminars will continue with Manuel Chaparro Escudero, at 10 am and with a workshop on Ethnographic Methodologies, with Manuela Ivone Cunha, at 2:30 pm.
On April 3, there will be a workshop on Network Analysis, with Francisco Conrado.
On April 24, the Doctoral Seminar will be integrated in the ICS Meeting on “Society and Crisis (s)”, with Viriato Soromenho Marques as a guest. This session will take place in Auditorium B1, of the complete pedagogical 2.
The last Doctoral Seminar of the academic year 2019/2020 is scheduled for May 29 and has two workshops: one on Film Analysis, with Ana Cristina Pereira, and another on Multimodal Analysis, with Silvana Mota-Ribeiro.
All workshops require prior registration.
