Inaugural session of the doctoral programs in Communication Sciences and Cultural Studies

The Inaugural Session of the Doctoral Programs in Communication Sciences and Cultural Studies will take place on September 29 at 3 pm in the Engineering Auditorium (in front of the ICS).

Manuel Chaparro is the guest speaker at this session, which will be entitled “Radical Communication: thinking about the narratives of media culture from the point of view of common goods”.

Manuel Chaparro is a full professor at the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the University of Malaga in Spain. He is also director of the UMA doctoral program at the University of El Salvador. Founder and director of the Association of Municipal Radio and Television Stations of Andalusia, he is the coordinator of cooperation projects in Social Communication in Bolivia, Guatemala, El Salvador and Argentina. He holds a PhD in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid and has advised AECID’s international cooperation in Argentina, Bolivia and Guatemala.
He has published books and several articles on radio and television.
