Inaugural session of the PhD programmes in Communication Sciences and Cultural Studies

The inaugural session of the PhD programmes in Communication Sciences and Cultural Studies will be held on October 15, at 2.30 pm, at the Sala de Atos in the ICS.

The film Nación, by Margarida Ledo, about the life of workers from the former Pontesa ceramics factory, will be screened at the session. The author will be present as a guest speaker for this first school day of the Department of Communication Sciences courses, to which the CECS is associated.

Margarita Ledo is a Professor of Audiovisual Communication at the University of Santiago de Compostela and coordinator of the Audiovisual Studies Group. Her research lines include Communication and Culture Policies, Diversity and Geolinguistics Spaces of Communication, Feminist Theories in the universes of creation and expression, Film Theory, and the Uses and Discourses of Photography.
