It is now open until October 31st, the call for papers to the Transmedia Literacy International Conference (Teenagers, Transmedia Skills and Informal Learning Strategies in the New Media Ecology), which will be held in Barcelona (Universitat Pompeu Fabra) from October 22th to 24 th, March 2018. This initiative ends the European Transliteracy project, which began in June 2016 and intends to understand the relevance of media practices in the lives of adolescents from eight countries (Australia, Colombia, Spain, Finland, Italy, Portugal, United Kingdom and Uruguay), mapping the transmedia skills of young people between the ages of 12 and 18. The Portuguese team includes Sara Pereira, Manuel Pinto (CECS researchers), Pedro Moura, Andreia Lobo and Joana Fillol.
The conference brings together a vibrant and global community of media and education researchers and innovators. The conference is organized as a part of the dissemination activities of the TRANSLITERACY H2020 action, a project that involves researchers from Europe, Latin America and Australia. Apart from the paper sessions and the keynotes, the Transmedia Literacy International Conference will include workshops and short presentations by education innovation leaders. The main objective of the conference is to share research outputs and practices around the following topics:
