UMinho/CECS and ECREA sign protocol for the 8th European Communication Conference

The University of Minho (UMinho) and the main European Communication Science Research Association, European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA), will sign on October 3, at 2:30 pm, at the Rectorate of the University of Minho, the protocol of understanding on the organization of the 8th European Communication Conference to be held from 2 to 5 October 2020. The organization of the conference, which will bring together some 1300 researchers, will be handled by the Communication and Society Research Centre (CECS) of the Institute of Social Sciences.

The international conference is devoted to the theme ‘Communication and Trust: Building safe, sustainable and promising futures’, with the objective of analyzing the communication practices of the technological age and the vulnerabilities arising from an accelerated and rapidly changing digital society.

The signing ceremony of the protocol is attended by the Rector of the University of Minho, Prof. Rui Vieira de Castro, by the President of ECREA, Ilija Tomanic Trivundza, and the CECS director, Moisés de Lemos Martins. The session is open to the community.
