Varelio Gomes dos Santos: new PhD in Sociology

On September 16, at 9:30, a.m., in the Institute of Social Sciences, took place de Ph.D. viva in Sociology of Varelio Gomes dos Santos.

The thesis, supervised by Carlos Veiga, is entitled “Fishing activity and technical training: IFRN professionalization and intervention in the fishing area of RN”.

The jury, chaired by Helena Machado, was composed of:

– Carlos Gil Correia Veloso da Veiga, assistant professor with aggregation, Department of Sociology, Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho;

– Ivo Manuel Pontes Domingues, assistant professor, Department of Sociology, Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho;

– José Manuel Leal Zaragoza, assistant professor, Department of Sociology, Institute of Social Sciences, University of Évora;

– Eduardo Jorge Gomes da Costa Duque, assistant professor, Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences, Portuguese Catholic University – Braga Regional Centre.
